- video calling
- integrated instant messaging and conference calls.

money.
Keys to a successful office "outside the box"
- Have a specific Telecommuting Agreement which includes:
- the floorplan of their remote workspace - is the space appropriate?
- equipment and tools: should companies provide a computer and phone line only for work?
- conditions of work - are employees able to work without interruptions?
- times of work: when are remote workers, on duty, available (for consultation and questions), and off duty (not responding).
- Have a Company Communication Standards: - what is the expected turnaround time for a message?
- Choose the right Supervision and Reporting Structure - workers can be supervised remotely too, choose the right monitoring software for the job.
- Plan Unstructured Interaction Times (socializing) to replace day to day personal contact in the office.
